The preliminary examination shall be an objective type examination consisting of three papers of 100 Marks each. The syllabus for the preliminary examination shall as follows:

Each paper shall be of one-hour duration and the examination of all three papers will be on the same day. The syllabus for preliminary examination shall be the same as provided for Paper 1 – 3 of the mains examination.

Hindi (in Devnagri Script); no books prescribed. The paper of Hindi will comprise of the following:

Essay in Hindi on any topic out of three (50 marks)
